Join Camille Deitz LCPC and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and assistant at Flathead Lake for a day of learning essential skills and understanding to help clients safely begin to access their felt experience and the ability to recognize how their nervous system state affects how they see themselves and the world around them.
Camille offers her genuine self with two scoops of humor. She teaches from lived experience, 12 years of trauma training and work, and a deep passion for helping individuals connect with themselves and a felt sense of safety.
This introductory course gives the foundation for continued Montana somatic trainings offered by Rising Sun Wellness in 2027 and beyond.
Learning Targets
Participants will be able to-
State three or more examples of language that supports the tracking of sensation and nervous system activation and settling
Identify three core autonomic nervous system states and understand how perception is affected by a person’s nervous system state
Assess whether someone is within their functional window and utilize techniques to help client’s find and work within their functional window
Demonstrate foundational skills for creating a felt sense of safety through orienting, grounding, and resourcing.
Strengthen ability to co-regulate and use your own nervous system as part of the therapy container
Explain the importance of containment in therapy and trauma processing

Schedule
8-8:30 Arrive and check in
8:30-12:30 Training
12:30- 2pm Lunch provided and outside movement encouraged
2-4- Demo and final training activities
What to bring
